Friday, April 15th, 2011 – The Judds highly anticipated original docu-series debuted this past Sunday with over 1.7 million total viewers tuning in to watch the special two-hour premiere featuring the mother-daughter duo preparing for their first tour together in 10 years. Outside of launch week, The Judds was the highest rated premiere on the new Oprah Winfrey Network (OWN) as well as the number one social media trend for cable during the episode. Hundreds of viewers logged on to participate in a live, online chat during the two-hour premiere.

Over lunch in L.A., the conversation turned to a pending anti-discrimination measure that would set rules for companies seeking city contracts. It would prevent firms from discriminating on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity.
