The New York Daily News described Williams’ music as “eloquent” and “mesmerizing”.

New York Observer said, “It’s a fascinating film that I enjoyed thoroughly.”

June 26th, 2012 - Known to be one of the most influential songwriters of the 20th century, Hank Williams was posthumously awarded in 2010 a Special Citation by the Pulitzer Prize Board for his craftsmanship as a songwriter.

Moderated by Pippin Parker, Director of The New School for Drama, the panel will discuss The Last Ride, a newly-released, independent film about legendary singer/songwriter Hank Williams. Inspired by the mysterious final days of Williams' mercurial life, The Last Ride is the story of his final road trip through the bleak Appalachian countryside of 1950s America.
