Rodney Atkins - RODNEY ATKINS RENEWS CONTRACT WITH CURB RECORDS

December 6th, 2011 - Curb Records announced today that Rodney Atkins has signed a new contract with both Curb Records and Curb Publishing. Atkins signed his first Curb contract in 1996 and has since released four studio albums, eighteen singles and celebrated six multi-week number one hits.

Atkins is pleased with his decision, “Mike Curb encouraged me to learn about songwriting, how to write songs, how to go in and produce those songs…He allowed me to get in the studio and experiment and learn the process. Hats off to Mike for really sticking with artist development for a long time---for believing in that.”

As a writer with Curb Music Publishing, he has co-written several of his hits including "Watching You" which has recently been certified platinum by the RIAA.”

In 2006 he was voted “Top New Male Artist” by the Academy of Country Music and, in 2010 he became a spokesperson for Kraft Velveeta Shells and Cheese, which sponsored his "Get Together" tour. Rodney still serves as the spokesperson for Massey Ferguson and the National Council for Adoption.
