March 11, 2011 - Curb Records has announced the upcoming release of the highly anticipated new album by The Judds entitled I Will Stand By You: The Essential Collection. The new compilation will feature two newly recorded songs: “I Will Stand By You” and “Back Home” (featuring Alison Krauss) as well as twelve mega hits by the beloved duo. These new songs celebrate the first time the legendary mother/daughter pair have recorded together since 2004 when Naomi joined Wynonna for “Flies On The Butter”, which is also featured on the album.

One of Curb’s most successful selling acts, The Judds were on the road together and back in the studio last year to support their Last Encore Tour. Along with the two new tracks, I Will Stand By You: The Essential Collection features fan favorites such as “Mama He’s Crazy”, “Grandpa (Tell Me 'Bout The Good Old Days)”, “Turn It Loose” and their anthem, “Love Can Build A Bridge”.

“This is a great set of tunes,” says Curb’s VP of Sales, Benson Curb. “We’ve picked the most popular Judds’ songs as well as the most downloaded and put them all in one package: it’s a must for Judds’ fans, old and new.”

In April, The Judds will be recognized as the most award-winning female duo in ACM history. They will join Loretta Lynn, Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride, Jennifer Nettles, Reba and Carrie Underwood for the ACM Girls Night Out: Superstar Women of Country. The all-star celebrity event will tape in Las Vegas on Monday, April 4th at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, the night after the Academy of Country Music Awards and will air on CBS April 22nd. The iconic duo will also star in their own television docu-series simply titled, The Judds, on the new Oprah Winfrey network (OWN). The show captures Wynonna and Naomi’s unprecedented moments together as they navigate the intricacies of their first tour in 10 years. “The Judds” will premiere on Sunday, April 10th at 9 PM EST.

I Will Stand By You: The Essential Collection will be available for download and in stores on April 5th.
